MariaDB
Overview
MariaDB is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS) that is a fork of MySQL, created by the original developers of MySQL after concerns over MySQL's acquisition by Oracle Corporation. MariaDB is designed to be highly compatible with MySQL, meaning that it shares the same commands, interfaces, APIs, and libraries, but it includes new features, extensions, and improvements that are not found in MySQL. The Database integration enables you to gain visibility, manage user life cycle, and govern access for the data available in the JDBC-accessible relational databases. This application is generic in nature. It can interface with most relational databases and database-hosted applications.
