Saviynt Employee Spotlight: Rajesh Ramalingam

Tell us a little bit about what you do each day at Saviynt (Your role, responsibilities, and the impact you make on the team).

At Saviynt, I work as a Technical Account Manager, playing a key role in driving customer success. With over 12 years of experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain, I bring deep expertise in Identity Management, Access Management, Governance, Risk, and Compliance. This knowledge allows me to address challenges in the customer landscape effectively. 

My primary responsibilities include designing and delivering stable, sustainable IGA solutions and guiding customers in adopting Saviynt. I have worked with multiple customers and simplified their legacy implementations and provide safe, secure and sturdy innovative solutions and help the business to have at most efficiency. 

As a passionate architect by choice, I specialize in designing business solutions, creating innovative strategies to address critical situations, and implementing robust Identity and Access Management systems to meet diverse organizational needs. 

In principle - I believe that the people who achieve more are not necessarily more capable, but they are better at Execution. Knowing is not doing and Doing is doing. If we need to succeed, just 10% is the Idea and 90% is execution of the idea. 

How did you get started in your present career? What do you love about the kind of work you do? What brought you to Saviynt?

Joining Saviynt might have been by chance but has been one of the best decisions of my career.   After spending six years at my previous company, I was eager to embark on a new path that aligned my aspirations for growth and innovation. When a few of my well-wishers introduced me to Saviynt, I recognized the potential, and ever since, there’s no looking back!

Who inspires you? Or, if you could choose anyone as a mentor, who would you choose and why?

My father is the person who inspires me the most and is the first mentor. His unwavering honesty, integrity, and commitment to doing what is right have always been a guiding light in my life. He is a man of principles, someone who stands firm in his values no matter the circumstances. His actions consistently reflect his words, teaching me the importance of sincerity and accountability. Whether it’s the way he approaches challenges or how he treats others with kindness and respect, he sets an example that I strive to follow. His wisdom, strength, and humility make him not just my father but also my greatest role model. He has transitioned from being a person to a presence in our lives and I take this moment to remember him and cherish him deep in my hearts.

What’s one workplace rule that you always break and why?

If there's one rule I'd like to break in the workplace, it's the adherence to hierarchy. While structure and leadership are essential, candid conversations with the right people could make a lot of difference and has a potential to create a spark for an innovative idea.

When people feel empowered to contribute without worrying about rank, it creates a culture of innovation, trust, and mutual respect. How do you define success?

Success isn’t about excelling in just one role: it’s about becoming a multi-role wonder. True success lies in the ability to adapt, grow, and master different roles throughout your journey. It’s about wearing multiple hats, embracing diverse challenges, and continuously expanding your skill set. Being versatile not only enhances your value but also helps you discover new perspectives and opportunities. Success reflects your resilience, curiosity, and willingness to evolve beyond a single domain, proving that growth and impact are limitless when you push beyond the boundaries of one role.

What do you do when you aren’t working at Saviynt? (Hobbies, interests, extracurriculars, etc). What's your favourite way to relax? 

I am blessed with a beautiful family and a 3-year-old toddler bringing endless joy to our lives. Whether it’s playing with my child, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, watching movies together, having short picnics, these moments are the most fulfilling and remind me of the importance of family. I personally believe, All the success that we have at work, becomes meaningless, when you do not celebrate it with the family. So, I will take the off-work hours to spend time with the family.
