Saviynt Joins Google Agent Cloud as a Launch Partner to Bring Governed Identity to Enterprise AI

AI agents are moving fast. The question enterprises are asking isn’t whether to deploy them — it’s whether they can trust them.

We're pleased to announce that Saviynt now supports Google Cloud Agent Gateway, contributing our identity governance capabilities to one of the most ambitious agentic platforms being built for the enterprise. Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is designed to provide a secure foundation for agentic applications — delivering unified identity, governed connectivity, and comprehensive observability across the AI lifecycle. As agents proliferate across cloud environments, the ability to verify who they are, what they're authorized to do, and whether their actions are appropriate isn't a nice-to-have — it's the foundation that makes agentic AI safe to operate at scale.

Saviynt's offering spans the full agent governance lifecycle — from runtime enforcement to agent discovery, posture management, and lifecycle governance — and is now available through Google Cloud Marketplace.

Bringing Enterprise-Grade Governance to AI Agents

To securely govern these new identities, organizations need to ensure that every action performed by an agent is authenticated, authorized, and continuously evaluated against enterprise policy. Saviynt ensures that as AI agents take on more enterprise responsibility, they remain as governed, auditable, and accountable as the humans they work alongside. Saviynt's integration with Agent Gateway delivers this through two core governance capabilities.

Context-aware governance during every interaction

Through Agent Gateway, Saviynt injects live identity intelligence into every agent access request. Authorization decisions are evaluated in real time based on:

  • Agent intent and task context
  • Sensitivity and classification of the target data
  • Organizational policies, risk posture and governance rules

This ensures that your AI agents are purpose-bound, not just permissioned, and governed by what they're supposed to be doing, not only what they’ve been technically allowed to do.

Runtime authorization with human oversight:

Saviynt enables secure agent access through delegated authorization without surrendering governance. When an agent requests access, it:

  • Consults Saviynt’s identity governance engine
  • Evaluates risk and policy in real time
  • Enforces a clear outcome: allow, block, or request additional verification, with a full audit trail attached to each.

This verification path is where governance becomes tangible. High-risk or ambiguous actions are surfaced for human review rather than resolved autonomously, keeping people in the loop where it matters most. The result is a defensible audit trail that supports compliance, forensics, and regulatory requirements — without slowing the pace of innovation.

How the Integration Works

Saviynt's governance capabilities are delivered to Agent Gateway through the Saviynt A2A Server, which surfaces live identity context from Saviynt's AI-powered data lake in real time. Rather than relying on static policy snapshots, it receives continuous intelligence on agent identities, ownership, entitlements, and risk signals — enabling authorization decisions that reflect the actual state of your environment.

Agent registration and ownership verification anchor the entire model. Acting as an extensible governance integration for the Google Cloud Agent Registry, Saviynt provides verified identity attributes for every agent — such as ownership, approved scope, purpose, and lifecycle status. Unregistered or ungoverned agents are denied access outright, ensuring that agents without a clear owner and defined purpose never reach enterprise systems.

Extending Governance End-to-End: Discover, Assess Posture, and Manage the Lifecycle of Every Agent

While runtime enforcement is critical, governance cannot start at the moment of access. It must begin earlier — at discovery, inventory, and the definition of ownership.

Saviynt extends its integration with Agent Gateway through its Agent for Identity Security for AI. This agent enables organizations to govern their entire AI agent lifecycle through the Saviynt offering on the Google Cloud Marketplace, including agent discovery, posture management, and lifecycle management.

Agent discovery across platforms

Organizations can automatically detect agents across multiple cloud platforms, gaining:

  • A centralized inventory of all AI agents
  • Visibility into platform distribution and environments
  • The ability to identify agent status

This eliminates one of the most critical risks in agentic AI: unknown and untracked agents operating outside governance controls.

Agent Posture Management

Saviynt provides continuous visibility into the security posture of every agent by enabling teams to:

  • Identify orphaned or inactive agents
  • Assign and validate ownership to ensure accountability
  • Assess risk exposure across all agents and platforms

This ensures that every agent is not only visible but also understood, evaluated, and aligned with enterprise risk posture.

Agent Lifecycle Management

Before an agent can interact through the Gateway, it must first be governed. Saviynt enables organizations to:

  • Register agents with verified ownership
  • Define purpose, scope, and lifecycle controls
  • Enforce governance policies from creation through retirement

This creates a closed-loop model where agents are discovered and registered, ownership and policies are established, and runtime access is continuously enforced through the Gateway, ensuring that no agent can act without identity, accountability, or governance.

A Shared Direction

This collaboration reflects a broader pattern in how leading cloud platforms approach AI security: not as a feature to add later, but as an architectural requirement from the start. We’re proud to be contributing Saviynt’s identity governance capabilities to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and we look forward to deepening this integration — including future support for Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol scenarios — as the platform evolves.
