Tell us a little bit about what you do each day at Saviynt (Your role, responsibilities, and the impact you make on the team).
In my role, I support Vibhuti Sinha, Atul Vij and Jim Jackson while also serving as the Atlanta Office Manager. I help and welcome new joiners with office tours, getting them their badge access key cards, and helping ensure they feel welcomed and foster a sense of belonging. Every Monday, I restock the Atlanta office pantry with snacks and beverages and run the weekly office badge report. When I’m in the office, my focus is on ensuring efficient functioning of the office and to help with office needs such as office supplies, conference room availability, AV needs, and other details to make sure it’s a successful day at work for all.
I interact with our building property management team several times a week – for ex. if there is an issue within our office suite for ex. office clean-up, a light(s) out, temperature issues, leaking window, pests in the office, etc. I share with my ATL colleagues fun, free activities our office property management does with all their tenants. These include themed sweet treats, treasure hunts to win a prize, property management partner promotions with free gifts. I furthermore, work with the building property management when our colleagues need to utilize their conference space, when our office suite is not sufficient to hold a meeting.
How did you get started in your present career? What do you love about the kind of work you do? What brought you to Saviynt?
I began my career in 1997 as an EA and have developed my skill set and experience to expand to meeting and event planning and office manager. What I love about what I do is no day, no week, no month is the same. Nothing is mundane. I always seek out new challenges that push me to achieve greater heights.
What advice do you have on how to make remote work more effective/beneficial?How do you define success?
Accomplishing what I’ve been tasked with beyond daily responsibilities on time with satisfaction. Developing strong relationships with my colleagues that entails trust, dependability, learning from one another, becoming a source of information and inspiration.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I can fix and install many things. I can install a dimmer switch, a simple doorbell, install a sink stopper, replace toilet seats, remove and install a door when you need an appliance delivered that doesn’t fit your door entry way. At the office, I have fixed wobbling tables, put together new breakroom chairs, fixed conference door handles.
What’s the next place on your travel bucket list? Or, what’s your ideal vacation destination and why?
My ideal vacation is a warm weather climate with crystal blue water with beach and pool options. Taking excursions like snorkeling, boating, educational tours about the country/city I’m visiting, shopping to bring back some memorabilia to remember a particular visit. Most of all, relaxing.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
SHRIMP – boiled, baked, fried, as salad topping, in pho soup or peel and eat with cocktail sauce with a healthy amount of horseradish.
What’s one item you can’t live without and why?
There are hundreds, soooooo I don’t know where to start. Ha ha!
