Today’s large enterprises have complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructures. Technologies get added as needed over time and systems are customized to ensure everything works together. In this way, every enterprise is different. That’s why, when designing and developing governance and security solutions, it’s imperative to listen to each customer and craft solutions that meet their unique needs.

Saviynt helps the largest companies in the world transform their identity programs to protect their people, assets, and infrastructure in the cloud era. To achieve this goal,  we’ve built a global team of passionate and dedicated people – and a positive, supportive workplace to make it all happen. In our ongoing Employee Spotlight series, we introduce you to the people building the most innovative cloud identity and access governance platform on the market.

Meet Enakshi Tarafdar

Enakshi is a Technical Architect in our Professional Services Department. She has worked at Saviynt since 2019. Based in Bengaluru, India, she is designing and developing software solutions for our customers. When Enakshi isn’t working, you can find her playing on Saviynt’s cricket team or honing her collaboration, trouble-shooting, and analytical skills – the same skills she brings to work each day.

Tell us a little bit about what you do every day at Saviynt.

I am a Technical Architect in the Professional Services Department in Saviynt’s Bengaluru office. I help enterprises discover, define, design, and develop their Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security needs. My primary responsibility includes exploring requirements, blueprinting the implementation architecture, and helping the field team during analysis and troubleshooting.

What gets you excited at the beginning of each day?

Each day, I look forward to my morning cup of Earl Grey and discussing current affairs and latest news with my family. For me, this is a perfect start for the day.

What do you do when you aren’t working?

I love cooking. I start with tried and true recipes from my mom and try to prepare them with a new touch. Along with cooking, I love driving. Long road trips give me a sense of freedom from the hustle and bustle of the big city and the opportunity to relax and explore the countryside. And I also enjoy being on Saviynt’s award-winning cricket team!

What brought you to Saviynt?

Saviynt is a well-known brand in identity and one of the market leaders. It’s a prestigious company to work for. I joined Saviynt because of its great reputation in the industry. That, and the opportunity to learn a first-class next-gen IAM product, were the main guiding factors for me to join. Saviynt’s collaborative work culture, its reputation in the industry, and its impressive technology make it a great place to work.

What’s your favorite part about working here?

I have many! In fact, my favorite parts about working at Saviynt would make a long list. Here are a few of them:

  • Employee friendly environment
  • Flexible work culture
  • Transparent HR policies
  • Excellent mentoring and guidance from senior management
  • Challenging real-world problems provide opportunity to learn new things and push my professional boundaries

My colleagues here at Saviynt provide me with an environment of trust and cooperation where I can learn the latest technology trends in IAM and enhance my professional skills.

How has Saviynt challenged you to become better at what you do?

Saviynt has helped me to become focused on the customer and to understand different aspects of each enterprise-level IAM implementation. Recently we implemented an enterprise IAM solution for one of the Fortune 500 companies where we had a stringent timeline together with some unique, enterprise-specific requirements. It was a challenging situation, but we pulled together and made it happen. Such situations help me to move out of my comfort zone, learn new things, and deliver on the customer’s expectations. “Customer First” is my philosophy when I discover and design solutions for each enterprise.

How has Saviynt impacted your life and career?

Throughout my journey with Saviynt, I’ve been given opportunities to work with different companies across various business domains and geographies. Each of these industries has its unique rules and requirements from an IAM perspective. Every company is different, and this diversity has helped me to understand IAM needs from many different points of view.

What would you say to someone who is considering working at Saviynt?

Saviynt is a great place that provides a unique environment to learn and grow. If you are looking for a challenging workplace to expand your career, then Saviynt is the right place for you.

What are you most proud of in your time working at Saviynt?

We have delivered multiple projects successfully in the last couple of years. My team has received appreciation and recognition from different stakeholders, including clients, partners, and from within Saviynt itself. My proudest Saviynt moment so far was to be recognized during the company’s August 2020 town hall meeting in front of our CEO, Amit Saha.

What are you most excited about as you look toward the future?

As a Technical Architect, I am optimistic about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and their impact on Identity and Access Management. I look forward to seeing how Saviynt is adopting and using these exciting new technologies across its Enterprise Identity Cloud.
