Solutions Engineer / Senior Solutions Engineer – MidWestern US

Location – United States


Saviynt is looking for a Sales Engineer to provide hands on technical leadership within Saviynt’s Cloud Access Governance & Intelligence growth focused in Western North America. Must be located on the US MidWest area. Focus is on the commercial accounts. Desirable comfort level traits: application, data and infrastructure governance. continuous controls, CASB, firewalls, SIEMs, CJIS/DFAR/FedRAMP-FISMA/HIPAA/others, experience with legacy on-premise IGA offerings, access controls, and the cloud shared security model. Travel is variable up to 50%, depending on location.


  • Be the technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales cycle by owning and driving evaluations to success
  • Technical pre-sales support for direct teams• Assist the sales teams to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies
  • Develop relationships with the sales teams, partners and customers in support of Saviynt’s sales objectives
  • Provide technical expertise and real-life experience in creating solutions, designs, and managing proofs of concept
  • Conduct research and use knowledge of competitive solutions to effectively address and dispel customer objections
  • Educate sales teams and partners on the product solutions
  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction


  • 5+ years industry experience in consulting or sales engineering
  • Bachelor’s/equivalent experience in CS, CIS, MIS, IT or Engineering
  • Technical background in Identity Governance Administration/IGA, including use of tools such as SailPoint Identity IQ, RSA/Aveksa Identity Governance, Oracle Identity Management, IBM Security Identity Manager, IBM Security Access Manager, Sun Identity Manager, Novell/NetIQ Identity Manager
  • Experience with RFP responses and proposals
  • Must have a good understanding of the sales process and the roles and responsibilities of a sales engineer
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to see and present “the Big Picture”, uncover business challenges, and architect a solution to solve customer business issues
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to travel 25-75%
